Stephen Peel, a beloved resident of Carrollton, GA, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9th, 2024, just shy of his 26th birthday. Born on a crisp winter day, Tuesday, December 15th, 1998, in Sandy Springs, Georgia, Stephen's life was a testament to resilience, joy, and the deep love he had for his family and passions.
Despite the challenges presented by his developmental disability, Stephen was a beacon of determination and achieved a milestone that filled his family with pride when he earned his diploma from Villa Rica High School in 2018. His journey through life was marked by his unyielding spirit and the support of his cherished family.
Family was everything to Stephen, and he cherished the moments spent with his sister, Christina McDermott, her husband Justin, and their children, Aprill and Haylee. He was also survived by his brother, Chris Kidd, his wife Ashley, and their children, CJ and Hunter. Stephen was preceded in death by his loving parents, Larry Lee Peel and Bonnie Shirey, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
Stephen’s passions were as unique as his personality. He was an avid fan of Star Wars and EMS/Fire. His love for animals was evident in the joy he found in the company of pets and wildlife. Known for his playful aversion to cheese—unless on pizza or macaroni—Stephen's love for pizza and Dr. Pepper was legendary among him and his family.
Stephen Peel's legacy is one of love, perseverance, and an unyielding zest for life. He leaves behind a family who adored him and were touched by his kindness and joyful spirit. His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.
