On May 6th 2015 Richard Guy Kile lost his long battle with cancer. He passed quietly in his sleep at home with his Son, Richard Lamar Kile, Daughter in Law, Nickie Kile and Granddaughter, Makenzie Kile.
He is ushered into heaven and proceeded in death by his Father, James William "Bill" Kile, his Mother, Hazel Mary Gilbert Kile and his oldest Brother, James William Kile, Jr. and many others that adored him as we all did.
He leaves behind six Siblings and their Spouses, Nellie Mae Cook of Temple, GA, Frances & Wendell Harper of Winston, GA , Margaret Kile of Douglasville, GA, Bobby Kile of Powder Springs, GA, Irene Coleman of Hiram, GA and Mary Jane & Jerry Garner of Rockmart, GA.
Countless Nephews, Nieces, Friends, Family and Neighbors will mourn his loss as well and will be blessed by just having known and loved him.
Richard Guy Kile was born at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA on March 30, 1958. He was known to most as "Rick", "Ricky" or "Uncle Ricky". The youngest of 8 children.
He grew up in Winston, GA on Post Road with long time neighbors and friends The Hembree Family and the Stamp Family and so many others.
His laughter was contagious. If you didn't have a smile he would give you his.
Ricky had a hard time with the complexities of life and therefore chose to find humor in everything (mostly himself).
He fought and eventually beat a life-long addiction to alcohol. He was so proud to win that battle! In the eyes of his son and so many others, this made him a hero. The strength it took to win that battle will always be admired.
He adored his family, nature, art and people in general.
Being Paw Paw to Makenzie was by far his favorite title. He enjoyed telling her stories about his life and his favorites always included his Mama.
Uncle Ricky possessed the following things and so many more:
The Spirit of a Child
The Hands of an Artist
The Stage Presence of a Stand Up Comic with tremendous Site Gag abilities
But mostly and without fail he never left a room when the people that had been in his attendance had not laughed until they cried or wet their pants.
We his family and friends have lost and Heaven has gained one of life's true Characters!
Until we meet again!
