Nicholas Jelaca

Nicholas Jelaca, age 93, passed away on July 31, 2014. He was preceded in death by loving wife of 48 years, Christine Jelaca. Mr. Jelaca was preceded in death by his sister, Angie; brother, Mike; and sister, Mary. He is survived by son, Peter Jelaca and wife Nancy Jelaca, grandson Nick Jelaca and wife Brittany Jelaca, granddaughter Alyssa Jelaca Martin and husband Justin Martin. After living the majority of his life in Chicago he relocated to Marietta 17 years ago to be with family. He was blessed with a long life and experienced many events including the great depression. He was a veteran and landed on the beach in Normandy on the second day of the invasion. He was an avid golfer who was blessed with the opportunity to continue playing through his late years. His hobbies included making hats and working on repair projects.
