Myrtice Lodeamy Smith

Myrtice Lodeamy Smith born November 26, 1923 in Banks County, Georgia died Friday, January 14, 2011 at Westbury Health and Rehab in Conyers, Georgia. Myrtice worked in the furniture finishing, garment, and poultry industries. She was a life member at Mt. View Baptist Church in Baldwin, GA and enjoyed playing Bingo.

Myrtice is preceded in death by her husbands Elmer Simmons, Lee Bowden, and James Markel, her parents Lewis Smith and Emma Bessie Smith, her sons Jack Simmons, Steve Simmons and Glen Bowden, her brother Lewis Smith, her sister Juanita (Smith) Chambers, and Grandson John Inman Worley.

She is survived by her daughter Peggy Scott of Conyers, son Lee James Bowden of Buchanan, brothers Jack R. Smith of Abbeville, SC and Terry S. Smith of Mt. Airy, daughter-in-law Evelyn Bowden of Powder Springs and daughter-in-law Laura Simmons, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandsons, 15 great grand-daughters, 1 great-great-grandson, and 5 great-great-granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held at Roy Davis Funeral Home Saturday, January 22, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a committal service at Riverview Cemetery in Smyrna, GA.
