Mildred Virginia Slayton 89, of Dallas, GA died Monday, November 19th at Wellstar Cobb Tranquility Hospice. Mrs. Slayton, a 22 year breast cancer survivor, was a devoted member and ordained elder of In-Christ Worship Center of Dallas, GA. Mrs. Slayton known by many as "Granny" was a writer of spiritual poetry with a self-published book titled, "Hidden Treasures".
Mrs. Slayton was preceded in death by Husband, Marvin Slayton; Sons, Buster SlaytonCharles Slayton and Larry Slayton; Brothers, Hoyt Potts, Earl Potts, Bill Potts and Howard Potts; Sisters, Vivian Stephens, Nobia McCollum, Dovie Studdard and Ina Potts; Parents, Sam and Sally Morelock Potts.
She is survived by her Sons, Dwight Slayton, Dwayne Slayton and Dennis Slayton; Grandchildren, Terry Richardson, Jerry Slayton, Susan Crew, Diane Lynch, Melanie Stipp, JoAnna Foxworth, Stephen Ball, Tiffany Ball, Erica Slayton, Tonya Baker, Karen Constantine and numerous Great-Grandchildren.
