Martin Allen Nolan, age 65 of East Point, GA, passed away on October 2, 2021 at Emory Midtown surrounded by his wife and family.
"Marty" as he was known by all, was born in Atlanta, GA on September 19, 1956, the youngest son of the late Charles Albert Nolan and Emmaline Gladys Barnett Nolan. He graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
Marty was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ralph Nolan, and fur babies, Petey and Nadine.
He was the proud co-owner of the Star Bar in Little Five Points for eleven years. He also owned a very successful plumbing business – Marty the Plumber Co. Marty was a friend to everyone he met, having never met a stranger a day in his life. He had the kind of personality that everyone wishes for - one that would lift the spirit of anyone he saw. The second he walked in a room, you knew Marty was there by his smile and his laugh.
Marty is survived by everybody that is reading this now and by his wife of 27 years, Laura Dugger Nolan; siblings, Jeanette (Sal) D'Amico, Sherry (James Dennis) Nolan-Dennis, Terry (Ruby) Nolan, and Judith Salee; sisters-in-law, Lynn Jones and Leanne (Terry) Sears; 18 nieces and nephews, four fur babies, Buddy, Ezra, Grrdy, and Bella Rose, as well as a host of loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service and visitation will be begin at 6:00pm Sunday, October 24th at the 7 Stages Theatre in Little Five Points, Atlanta, GA.
West Georgia Crematory, Austell, GA is assisting the family with arrangements.
