Lucile Humphreys

Lucile C. Humphreys passed away peacefully on Thursday 26th, 2012. She was a resident of Douglasville Nursing and Rehabiliation Center located on Hwy 5 in Douglasville GA.

Having been a resident at the Nursing Home for many years, Lucile was loved by all and received outstanding care and attention that made a big difference to her and her family in her declining years. Her family is so very appreciative of everyone who took care of Lucy during her stay.

Lucile Humphreys was born in October, 1922 and was married to George Jackson Humphreys who passed away 18 years ago. She lived a full life repleat with challenges that we all face in providing for oneself and family. She always had a giving and caring nature and sought to help others even to the point of being sacrificial in her giving.

A member of the WWII Generation, Lucile served her country as a ‘Rosie the Riveter,' worked as a Master Cosmetologist and enjoyed success as a real estate agent through the years. When her husband's income declined, Lucile made up the difference.

Lucile lived independently in Woodstock Georgia following her husband's death. She resided briefly with her son and his family and then with her daughter in Douglasville before moving into Douglasville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Lucile is survived by her Son, Don Humphreys, her nephew, Robert R Humphreys, Jr., and her Daughter, Alicia West Humphreys.
