Kathaleen Roberta Miller

Kathaleen was born in Dayton, Ohio in October 1922 to Mabel E. and Robert R.Orth. Kathaleen was an only child. After graduating from high school she took bookkeeping classes and began employment in Dayton. At the age of 21, Kathaleen married Robert H. Paullin who she met on her job. After moving to Ft. Lauderdale for one year and having baby Jimmy, they moved back to Kettering, Ohio during which time they ran a donut shop and had their second child, Chuck (Charles Robert Paullin).

In 1956 they moved to Pompano Beach, Florida. Kay was divorced in 1967 and worked as a secretary/bookkeeper. Katie, as she then became known, married her second husband, Norbert R. Miller in 1968 and moved to Hillsboro Beach. Katie was widowed in May, 1970, retired in 1987, and served the condominium association as Treasurer.

Katie enjoyed bowling, golf, and playing cards and the organ. She continued to live in Hillsboro Beach until moving to Roswell, Georgia in 2006 after breaking a hip, where she lived with her son Jim and his wife Kathy. After breaking a second hip in 2008, she moved to Hearthstone Assisted Living in Roswell until her death on April 12 at 88 years of age. Katie had been under hospice care for nearly seven months. While remaining alert and mobile with a walker until recent weeks, she had great difficulty in word finding, probably due to either a stroke or dementia. Katie
