Karen Theresa Ferreira

Karen Theresa Ferreira passed away in her sleep at her home in Marietta on Monday, January 30, 2012. Ms. Ferreira was last employed at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. She worked tirelessly in areas of healthcare including Neonatal ICU, Hospice Care, Wound Care and facility administration, providing nursing care for the sick and infirm for over 35 years. Her husband, Stephen R. Bowden preceded her in death last May. She is survived by her mother, Florence T. Ferreira of Nashville, TN; her father and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Ferreira of Louisville, KY; her younger brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J. Ferreira, of Nashville, TN; and her youngest brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. Ferreira, also of Nashville, TN. In lieu of flowers or other well-meaning remembrances, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
