John Marcus Green

John Marcus Green, Age 61 of Marietta, Georgia passed away on April 26th, 2013.

John was born in Marietta, Georgia to his Mother, Edna Green and his late Father, Clarence Green on April 29th, 1951. He loved fishing, hunting and his kids with a passion. When he was younger he spent most of his time in the woods with his brother and his friends. He graduated from McEachern High School in 1969. In his early twenties he went blind from diabetes, but he did not let that stop him. Despite his blindness, he raised five children and he continued to hunt, fish, go to baseball games and do all the things a normal father would do. Later on in life he found a passion for carpentry and made many amazing things out of wood. He had a great love for life and his kids and was the best father anyone could ever ask for. His strength was a great inspiration to his family and anyone that had the pleasure to meet him.

He is survived by his Mother, Edna Green, his Brother, Max Green, five children, two Daughters, Michelle Newsome and Christy Harpe, three Sons, Matt Green, Adam Green and David Green, ten Grandchildren, Fred Brown, Hunter Newsome, Abigail Green, Cheyenne Harpe, Christian Postell, Johnny Green, Preston Green, Cora Lanzo, Katelyn Green, and Tristan Green. A Celebration of Life will be held to honor and remember him in the upcoming weeks.
