Jeff Brooks Norton

Jeff Norton passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021. He was born in Carrollton, Georgia to Fred and Jesmere Norton.

He is survived by his wife Leticia Norton, his daughter Marie (Tim) Norton Cornett, 3 grandchildren Austin Moon, Madison York, Will York, his sister Jill Wooddall, Nieces, Julie (Tim) Wooddall Norton, and Robin (Todd) Wooddall Flanagan.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jack Norton and a brother-n-law Larry Woddall.

Jeff loved his family and was a man that would do anything to protect and provide for them at all costs. He had a wonderful gift of humor that would help remind his loved ones not to take life too seriously and to always look for the humor in all situations. He loved easing tensions with a good joke and could easily turn a depressing true story into one of humor and closure. Along with his love of comedy, he also loved music. One of his favorite things to do was write silly songs about the people he loved. Each year at Christmas, he would write a humorous poem or song to perform for the entire family and they all looked forward to that moment. Jeff knew music and laughter provided a release needed from the pressures of the real world and loved to share that release with his friends and family. He was able to master the art of combining laughter and music to leave his loved ones with many jingles to sing in the years ahead. His loved ones will carry his humor and music in their hearts and minds for the rest of their lives. They will cherish the priceless gifts he has freely given them to laugh about and sing until they meet again one day.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, 11:00 am, at The First Baptist Church Chattahoochee
