James Kluttz

"Jimmy" James Douglas Kluttz, 57,of Mableton GA died Monday, March 2, 2015 at Hospice of Atlanta at Emory Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Patti,of 33 years, his son Michael Kluttz of Kannapolis, N.C. anddaughter Jamie, son-in-law Ben, and grandson Mason James Husack of Mableton, GA. Jimmy was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved God and his family and the Carolina Tarheels. He worked for Food Lion for 27 years prior to his retirement to Mableton to be closer to his first grandson. He loved taking landscape pictures and pictures of Mason.He alsoloved playing tennis, going on mission trips, traveling, and investing. He was the only child of Mildred Dry and William Douglas Kluttz but was blessed to have many cousins he thought of as brothers. He was born and raised in Spencer and was a lifelong member of Central United Methodist Churchwhere he was very active in the many ministries of the church, especially the Costa Rico Mission team and the Circus Train Puppet Ministry. A visitation from 10-11 am will be held on Friday, March 6with amemorial service following at 11 am at Central UMC at 200 Fourth St. Spencer. The family requests no flowers but memorials can be made to the church.
