James Boggs

James Neal Boggs passed away on August 10, 2015. He was born September 2, 1933 to Corneluis J. and Lillie Mae Boggs in Madison County, GA. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and had retired from Consolidated Freight.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Sue Oliver Parker Boggs and survived by his brother, Joe Boggs, children James Boggs, Jr., Martha Allen, Dena LaCourse, Bonnie Henline, Julie Sims, and step-children Eddie, Jimmy, and Tony Parker, and Darlene Parker Shae. He also had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Neal's love of the mountains led he and Bobbie Sue to Hiawassee where they lived for over eighteen years. He adored cats, enjoyed history, and loved collecting things. He also loved getting visits from his grandaughter, Tori, where she would take him to do some of his favorite things.

A memorial service will be held in Hiawassee at Brasstown Manor on Saturday, August 15th at 11:00 am.
