Jack Ollie Savola

Jack Ollie Savola 64, of Acworth, Georgia died Wednesday, December 7th at his residence with his loving wife Sandra by his side. Jack is survived by his wife Sandra Cumby-Savola; children Josh and Jessica of Atlanta; sister Mary Tidwell and her husband Donnie Tidwell of Pensacola, Florida; nephew, Michael Tidwell; niece, Laurie Johnson; and his long-time friend Alvin Lewis of South Carolina. Jack was a graduate of Troy University where he attended on a football scholarship and was in the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He was also a member of the Elk Lodge in Pensacola, Florida. In his spare time Mr. Savola enjoyed listening to music from the '60s, watching Trojans football games and attending Charlie Daniels' Band concerts.

A memorial service will be held at 7 pm, Thursday, December 15th, at Acworth Presbyterian Church 4561 Church Street Acworth, GA 30101 with longtime friend, Chaplain Steve Epperson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 pm until 7 pm, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
