Harry Edward Hill Jr.

Harry Hill Jr, 57, of Chicago, Il, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 in Douglasville, Ga.

He was born in Chicago, Il to Harry Hill Sr. and Otilia (Barboza) Hill on May 5, 1956. Harry graduated for St Leo High School and received a Masters degree from Chicago State University. He spent some time in the Air National Guard before joining the U.S. Air Force in 1975. In 1986 he was accepted into the police academy in Chicago then spent 20 years with the Chicago Police Department.

After retirement in 2006, Harry traveled in and out of the country . He served in his community as a volunteer with the the local food bank. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, lodge -7 Chicago, a member of St.. Leo's Alumni Assoc., and a faith partner with Ever Increasing Faith Ministries.

Harry is survived by his father and mother Harry Sr. and Otilia Hill of Chicago; sister DeBorah Hill of Douglasville; brother Kelvin Hill of Chicago; estranged brother Gerard Hill; 2 nieces, Jocinta Grigsby of Texas and Janelle Hill of Chicago; 2 nephews, Isaiah Hill and Kelvin Hill Jr both of Chicago; 2 special cousins, Marshall Hill of Virginia and Rochelle Jones of Michigan. Also surviving are numerous aunts and uncles and cousins of Chicago Il , Massachusetts, and Virginia.

Memorial Service will be held Sat. May 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm at The Church at Chapel Hill, 5357 Chapel Hill Rd Douglasville, Ga 30135
