Evelyn Carter Eidson, aged 91, died peacefully at A G Rhodes Health & Rehab on January 18th in Atlanta, GA. Evelyn was born on December 5th, 1929 in Atlanta, GA to William (Doc) Carter and Ollie Belle Carter. She attended West Fulton High School in Atlanta and graduated from Valley Point High School in Dalton, GA in 1948. She was the widow of Henry Eidson, who predeceased her in August 2000.
She is survived by her twin brothers, Bobby Carter and Billy Carter, daughters, Susan Segars and Dana Cox; three grandchildren, Kris Bauch (Jeff Bauch), Joshua Segars (Leslie-Marie Segars) and Stephanie Gardner (Jud Gardner); and seven great-grandchildren; Connor, Evan, & Ansley Bauch; Mary-Grace, Molly and Tyler Segars; and Tucker Gardner; many nephews, nieces, and their children.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Ollie Belle Carter, and 10 of her brothers and sisters; Louise Black, Howard Carter, Mildred Gilstrap, Leamon Carter, Hazel Stacey, Emmett (Boots) Carter, Martha Cox, Virginia Tinney, Peggy Henson, and Janice Medlin.
Due to the pandemic, the family will have a private interment and a future memorial event. Donations may be made to A. G. Rhodes Health and Rehab in Evelyn's memory, or to the charity of your choice.
