Celine Theresa Gnann

Celine Theresa Gnann, age 92, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY died Monday, January 13, 2014 in Peachtree City, GA. She is survived by her sons, August John Gnann, Jr. (Barbara) of Williamsville, NY and Robert M. Gnann (Kim) of Niagara Falls, NY; daughters, Mary J. Hogan (Mike) of Peachtree City, GA and Peggy Cleary of Olive Branch, MS; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, August J. Gnann in 1963 and her son, Patrick J. Gnann in 2009.

Mrs. Gnann was born in Niagara Falls on September 23, 1921, the youngest of nine children of John P. Doyle and Anna Cantillon Doyle. She practiced as a registered nurse in the Western New York area for over 40 years and retired from Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 1, at The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, St. Joseph Worship Site, with Rev. Stewart Lindsay officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Carmelite Monastery, 75 Carmel Road, Buffalo, NY, 14214.
