Betty Edwards Atkinson

Betty Edwards Atkinson, age 84 of Stockbridge passed away on March 9, 2011. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest L. Edwards and son, Steve Bagwell. She is survived by her son, W.E. "Jimbo" Johnson; grandson, Steve Henry; sister, Mary Steerman; sister-in-law, Ludie Edwards; many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Atkinson was born November 15, 1927, in Americus, Georgia but resided in the Atlanta area all of her life. She retried after many years from Grizzard Advertising. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always had a warm smile, a great sense of humor, and a love for her pets and Georgia Tech football. She touched many lives while on this earth. She will sadly be missed by all, and never forgotten.

Graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Powder Springs City Cemetery, 3978 Old Austell Road, Powder Springs Georgia, 30127.
