Bettie Jean Slade

Mrs. Bettie Jean Slade, age 76 of Acworth, passed away on Wednesday July 15, 2009. Mrs. Slade is preceded in death by her father Robert Duncan, her mother Jessie Mae Waters Duncan and her daughter Donna Sue Barnette. Mrs. Slade was of the Baptist faith and was married 40 years to her husband Mr. Jack Slade.

Mrs. Slade is survived by her husband Jack Slade of Acworth; two sons and daughters- in-law Billy and Charlene Barnette of Dallas, and Don and Patricia Barnette of Cartersville; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from the New Hope First Baptist Church in Dallas, with Reverend Durwood Perry officiating. In lieu of flower the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer
