Franklin "Frankie" Wayne Hunnicutt age 82, of Marietta died Friday, May 30 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Frankie served as a Seaman for 2 years aboard the USS Parks during the Korean War. He went on to work as a sheet metal worker for Sheet Metal Local 85 Union for 32 years before he retired. He was a jack-of-all-trades known to tinker with cars and lawnmowers as a shade-tree mechanic and electrician.
Frankie was preceded in death by his brothers, T.J and Dewey and sisters, Jackie and Lorine. Left to mourn his loss are his wife, Judy; children, Darrell, Paula, Tracy, Pat, Pam and Greg; 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Hunnicutt was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday, June 6 in the chapel of Roy Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
